✅ Introduction

Hanoi is full of cafés, especially around the city center.

However, the place I visited this time felt a little different from the typical cafés in town.

The café is located in the Gia Lâm area, about 15km from Hoàn Kiếm Lake, and takes around 40 minutes by taxi depending on traffic.

Rather than being a place where tourists casually stop by, it felt more like an area used by locals or people visiting nearby for work or errands.

In fact, I barely saw any tourists inside. Most customers seemed to be local Vietnamese people spending their time quietly.

A calm atmosphere.

More than a café, it felt like taking a break inside a traditional-style wooden space.

✅ A Slightly Different Atmosphere from the Outside

From the outside, this café looks a little different from a typical modern café.

The building has an old traditional-style appearance with lots of wooden elements throughout the structure.

While Hanoi has many modern cafés, spaces like this with heavy wooden architecture feel less common.

You can already notice the wooden decorations and overall atmosphere from the entrance.

📸 The texture of the wood and the natural lighting create a calm and photogenic atmosphere.

✅ A Quiet and Relaxing Interior

Inside, the café continues with a wood-focused interior design.

The space feels solid and traditional, but also calm and comfortable.

Unlike crowded tourist cafés, the atmosphere here was relatively quiet.

Most people inside seemed to be local customers simply relaxing and spending time slowly.

💡 Personally, this place felt less like a café focused on drinks, and more like a space where you enjoy the atmosphere itself.

✅ The Koi Pond Adds to the Atmosphere

There is also a koi pond inside the café, which blends naturally with the wooden architecture.

The pond itself is not the main attraction, but it helps create a more relaxing atmosphere overall.

✨ The sound of the water was quiet and calming, making the space feel even more peaceful.

✅ I Ordered an Avocado Smoothie

This time, I ordered an avocado smoothie.

It tasted simply good — nothing overly surprising, but enjoyable.

Combined with the atmosphere of the café, it became the kind of drink you naturally take your time with.

Considering current prices in Vietnam, the pricing also felt fairly normal.

🥑 More than the drinks themselves, this café felt like a place to enjoy the atmosphere and slow pace of time.

✅ Final Thoughts

King Coffee Trâu Quỳ felt like a good place for anyone who wants to spend quiet time in the Gia Lâm area.

Rather than being a tourist-focused café, it feels more suitable for:

  • People working nearby
  • Those taking a short break between errands
  • Anyone who prefers calm spaces

It offers a different atmosphere from the cafés around central Hanoi.

If you are interested in quieter cafés with traditional-style architecture, this place may be worth visiting.
